A Look at the Volvo S60 and V60 for 2023
September 16 2022,
The Volvo S60 and V60 have received a light refresh for the 2023 model year which makes them more modern and more in line with the newer Volvo models, especially the electric XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge.
The styling changes
The 2023 Volvo S60 and the 2023 Volvo V60 have both been slightly modified in terms of appearance this year in order to integrate better among the newer models that have been added to the Volvo lineup since these models were introduced in 2019. The modifications include new wheel designs, new bumpers front, and rear as well as new headlamps. These elements are sufficient to create a distinctively more modern look while also keeping all of the characteristics that have made the previous version so elegant and distinctive. Inside, the digital instrument cluster adopts a new design that is simpler and more modern.
The new infotainment system
The 2023 Volvo S60 and the 2023 Volvo V60 have been the last two models to receive the new Google built-in infotainment system that was developed jointly by Volvo and Google. This system was introduced first on the electric model but now, its advanced features are available in every Volvo model. This infotainment system includes the Google Assistant, which can be controlled entirely by voice in order to accomplish a number of tasks, such as checking your text messages, changing the temperature of the climate control system or even controlling a Google home device while you are on the road.
The differences between both models
Despite their styling and mechanical similarities, the 2023 Volvo S60 and the 2023 Volvo V60 are quite different. This is because the S60 is a sedan while the V60 is a wagon. This means that buyers who prefer the traditional look of a sedan will prefer the S60 while those who need an added level of practicality will choose the V60 or the V60 Cross Country, which is a slightly lifted version that is better suited for light off-road driving.
