Three Reasons to Buy a Volvo XC60 Instead of a Lexus NX

The Volvo XC60 offers the best in terms of performance in a unique Scandinavian-designed package that is filled with safety and infotainment technologies. The XC60 has the perfect size for your family and the cargo it needs to carry around, and it delivers spectacular efficiency for your trips wherever life takes you.

Here, we explore three great reasons why you should buy a 2021 Volvo XC60 instead of a new 2022 Lexus NX.

The 2021 XC60 gives you more power and efficiency

Because power and efficiency are both important pillars of the luxury crossover world, the XC60 pairs them wonderfully. The XC60 Momentum includes a 2.0 L turbo four-cylinder that delivers 250 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The T6 powertrain also drives the XC60 with an impressive 316 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.

The XC60 also has a hybrid powertrain that delivers two power levels. This T8 boasts 400 horsepower, but it can go as high as 415 horsepower in the Polestar Engineered is variant.

The new 2022 Lexus NX offers a choice of powertrains as well. The base engine is a naturally aspirated 2.5-litre engine producing 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, which is way below the T5’s output. The next available engine is in the NX 350 2.4 Turbo, which delivers 275 horsepower. This might be a little bit over the XC60’s base engine, but it doesn’t catch up the T6 powertrain.

Finally, there are also the hybrid engines, which deploy 239 hp and 302 with the plug-in hybrid. Again, these numbers are under the T6 engine, and the T8 powertrains found in the XC60.

The 2021 XC60 has more space

Space is also a factor when shopping for a luxury crossover. And the Volvo XC60 offers plenty of it. When the second row is full of passengers, you can use close to 600 litres of cargo space. The Lexus NX only offers a little more than 500 litres, and even less in its hybrid variants.

The 2021 XC60 has more style and tech

Inside the Volvo XC60, occupants will thoroughly enjoy the Scandinavian design, textures and materials that can only be found in a Volvo. The XC60’s infotainment system is also more intuitive than the Lexus equivalent, making your trips easier and more entertaining. The Volvo also has more advanced driver assistance systems, like the Pilot Assist feature which can help the XC60 drive almost autonomously.

Finally, you can lease the XC60 from 2.9% and save $1,500 thanks to a limited time lease offer provided through Volvo Car Canada. Come and see the XC60 today! You can also shop for your Volvo online with us. Our representatives are waiting for your call and can answer all your questions.
