Volvo cars will be 100% hybrid or electric in 2023
June 29 2022,
Volvo made a significant announcement this week when it confirmed that all of its 2023 vehicles will be equipped with either a hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or electric powertrain. That means that Volvo will replace the current T4, T5, and T6 engines still on the road with B4, B5, and B6 powertrains respectively.
The announcement comes as Volvo continues its push to offer the greenest lineup of luxury vehicles on the market. Volvo already redesigned its Recharge hybrid and electric vehicle lineup this year when it introduced larger batteries with more range across the PHEV lineup. Now, Volvo is taking the next step by making sure that all of its vehicles offer some form of electrification.
The new B4, B5, and B6 engines deliver remarkable efficiency while also being smoother than the previous powertrains.
Along with the new engine lineup, Volvo is improving the infotainment system in its 2023 model lineup. New 2023 Volvo vehicles will feature the new Google built-in infotainment system which delivers more functionality such as Google assistant and Google Maps as well as access to the Google Play store. This new infotainment system will also feature over-the-air updates to ensure that owners always benefit from the latest features.
Volvo will also introduce new colours, wheels, and interior options to its lineup. 2023 Volvo vehicles will begin to arrive on the market later this year. Give us a call today to learn more.
